The striker issue

Making his first start in BVB colours, Niclas Füllkrug was not particularly effective at getting on the end of good chances. This shows a continued problem for Borussia Dortmund as Sebastien Haller was criticised for his performances and lacklustre impact as well.

Both are good players and have the ability to facilitate as well as score goals. However, the strike duo have yet to show their full range of attacking abilities for Borussia Dortmund this season.

This could create inconsistencies in getting goals. But with Edin Terzic finding several key adjustments against Wolfsburg, particularly in the second half, the talent of BVB’s strikers should come to the surface soon.

With Youssoufa Moukoko apparently on the outside with Terzic, whichever striker finds and converts their chances could win the race for the starting spot. While competition is good for the side, all three strikers seem to have had issues getting into form at the start of the season. Hopefully, Moukoko can overcome Terzic’s apprehensions and win a role in the team.
