Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 3-1 win vs Hoffenheim
By Tushar Bahl
Salih Özcan (6/10)
Özcan was solid if not spectacular, which is exactly what you want from a holding midfielder with his attributes. He didn’t always look comfortable with the ball at his feet, but defended well and wasn’t afraid to put his body on the line for the team.
Felix Nmecha (5/10)
Nmecha delivered an improved display in the Borussia Dortmund midfield, and caused Hoffenheim a few problems with his dribbling and clever passing. But he was still a passenger at times and his performance levels dropped significantly after the break.
Julian Brandt (6/10)
Brandt had a relatively quiet game by his high standards. But he still managed to grab an assist, with his high pressing resulting in Füllkrug’s goal. He was kept quiet for the most part after that, before being replaced by Karim Adeyemi.
