Edin Terzic optimistic about Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League hopes despite poor start

Edin Terzic is not giving up on Borussia Dortmund’s hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 despite being bottom of Group F after two matches.
Things have certainly not gone according to plan for Borussia Dortmund so far in the UEFA Champions League group stage, as they have one loss and one draw from their opening two matches. Following their goalless draw against AC Milan on Wednesday, the Black and Yellows are sitting at the bottom of Group F with just one point to their name.
While Borussia Dortmund still have plenty of time to turn things around, the competitive nature of Group F means that it certainly won’t be easy.
But Edin Terzic is optimistic about his side’s chances, and believes that all scenarios are still possible. But the Borussia Dortmund head coach also knows that they must start recording wins if they are to have any chance of progressing to the round of 16.
"“We didn’t set out to be at the bottom of the table with one point after two matchdays. We are three points behind the leaders, there are still four games left to play. In this group, there are still many possibilities.”“We know that we need to start picking up three points. The next match is in Newcastle. We already knew before (Wednesday’s) results that it would not be an easy task.”"
Next up for Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League is a trip to Newcastle United – who currently occupy top spot in Group F – after the international break. They will then host the English Premier League side, before traveling to Milan on matchday five. BVB will end their group stage campaign with a home game against Paris Saint-Germain.
