Borussia Dortmund will hope to keep their winning run going in the Bundesliga this weekend as they take on the struggling Union Berlin.

Having won three games in a row in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund will hope to continue their unbeaten run on Saturday as they face Union Berlin at home. The Black and Yellows will fancy their chances of getting the three points in what will be their final game before the international break.

Edin Terzic will have to make do without five players on Saturday, with Marcel Sabitzer, Julien Duranville, Mateu Morey and Thomas Meunier all on the road to recovery from their respective injuries. Ramy Bensebaini will also miss out against Union Berlin after his sending off against Hoffenheim.

Here we take a look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up for their Bundesliga clash against Union Berlin on Saturday.

Fresh off his contract extension, Gregor Kobel will start between the sticks on Saturday. He will hope for a quiet afternoon against the goal-shy Union Berlin.

Mats Hummels could be rested on Saturday after helping keep AC Milan at bay on Wednesday. We could see Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle start together in defence, with both players hoping to make their mark on the team.

Marius Wolf will likely replace Ramy Bensebaini in the starting XI, with Julian Ryerson set to switch to left-back. The Norwegian international will be hoping to build on his impressive start to the season as he goes up against his former club.

In midfield, Emre Can will probably return to the bench to give Borussia Dortmund an extra option in attack. Felix Nmecha could replace the club captain. Salih Özcan will keep his place in the number six role after his impressive start to the season.

Julian Brandt is the leading assist maker in the Bundesliga at the moment, and will start in his hybrid number eight/wing role.

Marco Reus is another player who could be in line for a breather. Karim Adeyemi and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens could be the potential options to replace the 34 year old if Terzic decides to make a change.

Donyell Malen will start out wide once again, with Niclas Füllkrug expected to keep his place in the starting XI up front. Sebastien Haller and Youssoufa Moukoko will also be hoping for a look-in.

Next. Opinion: Borussia Dortmund extending Marco Reus’ contract should only be a formality. dark
