Youssoufa Moukoko scored a hat-trick for the Germany U-21s on Friday to spark a come from behind 3-2 win over Bulgaria.

Borussia Dortmund duo Youssoufa Moukoko and Karim Adeyemi started for the Germany U-21s as they went up against Bulgaria in the UEFA Euro U-21 qualifiers on Friday evening. And the 18 year old continued his blistering run of form by netting an excellent hat-trick to lead his side to a 3-2 win.

Moukoko brought the Germany U-21s back on level terms with a fine low finish from a tight angle in the 40th minute after Bulgaria had taken the lead. He then took advantage of a fumble from the Bulgaria goalkeeper to give Antonio Di Salvo’s side the lead, before completing his hat-trick with a header from close range.

The hat-trick helped Moukoko take his tally for the UEFA Euro U-21 qualifiers to five goals in just two appearances.

Marcel Sabitzer made his return from injury on Friday but could not prevent Austria from suffering a 3-2 defeat to Belgium. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder came off the bench and halved the deficit late on with a goal from the penalty spot.

Despite the defeat, Austria still only need one more win to secure their qualification for next summer’s European Championship in Germany.
