Borussia Dortmund have suspended U19 top talent Paris Brunner due to disciplinary issues until further notice, per official club statement.

Borussia Dortmund have released a statement regarding the suspension of U-19s forward Paris Brunner due to disciplinary concerns. The club did not provide further clarification but did note that the player would not partake in any games going forward.

Brunner’s suspension will come as a shock to the system as the player’s performances have been catching the attention of those who follow the club’s youth setup, with him having been earmarked for stardom in the first-team in the not so distant future. Previous suspensions have been recorded and Brunner was suspended last year for his lateness. Due to this, he missed an important game against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Youth League.

No information has been provided regarding the suspension at this time via official sources, but it is speculated that this is a measure taken to protect the player, per Ruhr Nachrichten. The assumption being made right now that due to the nature of the punishment, the actions that led to Brunner’s suspension are serious, however, until more information is available, assumptions should be withheld. If the player has been involved in any egregious infractions, it would be safe to say that this would eventually be disclosed. Until then, withholding judgement will be important.
