Borussia Dortmund claimed a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen and extended their winning run in the Bundesliga to five matches.

Borussia Dortmund needed only one goal to overcome the challenge of Werder Bremen. And it arrived in the 67th minute through Julian Brandt, who celebrated his 300th Bundesliga appearance by producing another game-changing moment for his side.

The Black and Yellows defended well and Werder Bremen weren’t able to create much in terms of chances. Although Edin Terzic will most certainly have been left frustrated with his side’s inability to make the most of their chances and put the game to bed sooner.

In the end, though, the three points are all that matter. And the win will give Borussia Dortmund plenty of confidence ahead of the tougher tests that lie in store for them over the next three weeks.

Here are our player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from their 1-0 win over Werder Bremen.

Gregor Kobel (6/10)

Kobel was virtually a spectator for the majority of the game. He did have one key save to make in the second-half, but closed down the angle quickly to ensure that Justin Njinmah couldn’t score.
