Edin Terzic lauded Julian Brandt for his impact after the attacking midfielder scored the winning goal for Borussia Dortmund against Werder Bremen on Friday.
Julian Brandt continued his excellent run of form for Borussia Dortmund on Friday evening, as he scored the winning goal in their 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen. The goal helped the 27 year old make it seven Bundesliga games in a row with a goal or an assist. And he took his tally for the season to four goals and five assists in just 11 appearances.
Brandt also made his 300th appearance in the Bundesliga on Friday, becoming the third youngest player in the league’s history to reach that mark.
And Edin Terzic was full of praise of the Germany international after the game. The Borussia Dortmund head coach said during his post-match press conference that Brandt is an important player for the club, both on and off the pitch.
"“He’s a child of the Bundesliga. To have played so many games at that age is something quite extraordinary. He continues to make himself extremely important for us week after week. He’s taking responsibility on the pitch and in the dressing room. We also value him very much for the future.”"
Julian Brandt has made immense strides in his all-round game over the last 18 months, and his performances have been crucial to the club’s resurgence since the turn of the year. And if he continues in the same vein in the coming months, Borussia Dortmund will have every chance of competing for the Bundesliga title this season.
