Sebastian Kehl was full of praise of Felix Nmecha after the midfielder’s strong performance during Borussia Dortmund’s win over Werder Bremen on Friday.

Felix Nmecha delivered his best performance in a Borussia Dortmund shirt on Friday as he helped them earn a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen. Playing in the number eight role, the 23 year old imposed his will on the game and displayed the intensity that had been missing from his performances in the early weeks of the season.

Nmecha earned big praise from Sebastian Kehl after his performance against Werder Bremen. The Borussia Dortmund sporting director said that he is pleased with the way the Germany international is developing.

"“It was a commanding victory, apart from a phase of 10-15 minutes in the first-half,” Kehl said in the mixed zone (via BVB). “We had enough chances to score and kill the game off earlier. Overall, I’m very happy with the performance.”“I saw good performances from several players. I would have liked to see Felix Nmecha score a goal. Nmecha endured a difficult start to life at Borussia Dortmund following his big money move from VfL Wolfsburg in the summer. The midfielder struggled for form and fitness in the first few games of the season, but he has looked a lot sharper in the last two matches. Against Bremen on Friday, Nmecha made some excellent forward runs and also showcased great defensive discipline.
