Gio Reyna (3/10)

Gio Reyna’s return to the starting XI lasted just 45 minutes, and he certainly deserved to be substituted. It was a poor performance from the USMNT international, who failed to track back and offer any help to the struggling Bensebaini. He did create a decent chance for Malen early in the game, but other encouraging moments were few and far between.

Donyell Malen (4/10)

Malen had the opportunity to give Borussia Dortmund the lead early on, but the tight angle made it difficult for him to get the right connection with the ball. He put in a tired shift and his decision making was poor more often than not. The Dutchman was subbed off at half-time as well.

Niclas Füllkrug (6/10)

Füllkrug struggled to get any meaningful service from his teammates, but still managed to make a telling impact on the game with some solid old-school number nine play. He also helped set up Sabitzer’s goal.
