A fairly straightforward 1-0 win over Hoffenheim helped Borussia Dortmund secure their place in the DFB-Pokal round of 16.

Borussia Dortmund qualified for the DFB-Pokal round of 16 with relative ease, as Marco Reus’ first-half strike helped them beat the misfiring Hoffenheim 1-0. It was a solid and disciplined overall performance from the Black and Yellows, who stifled their opponents and forced sloppy mistakes en route to yet another clean-sheet.

After a brisk start from Hoffenheim, Borussia Dortmund took control of the game and got the job done with minimum fuss or jitters.

Edin Terzic will be especially pleased with the performances of Salih Özcan, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, and Gio Reyna, and now faces a selection headache ahead of this weekend’s Der Klassiker.

Here are our player ratings from Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Hoffenheim.

Gregor Kobel (7/10)

Kobel returned to the starting XI and was asked to be alert in the opening exchanges. But he made a good save, and wasn’t really tested much after that.
