Borussia Dortmund player ratings vs Hoffenheim: Salih Özcan, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens impress in 1-0 win
By Tushar Bahl
Marius Wolf (6/10)
Wolf had a tough assignment against his namesake Bülter. He had a few shaky moments in the first-half, but recovered well and ended up putting in a very tidy shift. He was forced off with a thigh issue in the second-half.
Niklas Süle (5/10)
Süle had a lapse in concentration early on and Hoffenheim nearly took full advantage. Luckily for him, Kobel and Schlotterbeck were there to rescue the situation. He was fairly solid after that and managed to help keep the dangerous Maximilian Beier at bay.
Nico Schlotterbeck (7/10)
Schlotterbeck continued his fine run of form with a goal-saving block in the first-half. That clearance was worth its weight in goal for Borussia Dortmund, as Hoffenheim didn’t really threaten after that. The centre-back also made some clever forward runs in the second-half.
Julian Ryerson (6/10)
Ryerson returned to the starting XI and did a decent job. He performed his defensive duties really well without offering much going forward.
