Salih Özcan (8/10)

Özcan set the tone for Borussia Dortmund with an assertive shift in defensive midfield. The Turkish international kept things very tight and distributed the ball really well. He also stopped a number of Hoffenheim counter-attacks, and one of his ball recoveries nearly resulted in a BVB goal in the second-half. He is in fine form at the moment and certainly deserves to start on Saturday.

Julian Brandt (7/10)

Brandt picked up where he left off on Sunday and put in another strong performance in midfield. He was unlucky not to end up with a goal or an assist, but played a key role in the winning goal by finding Reyna in space with an excellent diagonal ball.

Marco Reus (7/10)

Reus scored with a beautifully placed strike but was finding it difficult to finish chances before that. There were plenty of positives from the former club captain’s performance, as he linked up well with his teammates, showed great movement, and came up with the winning goal once again for his side.
