Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich
By Tushar Bahl
Borussia Dortmund were handed a stark reality check at home on Saturday evening as they fell to a 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich
There was a sense of deja vu at the Westfalenstadion at the full-time whistle, as all of Borussia Dortmund’s progress was undone by another devastating defeat to Bayern Munich. Harry Kane was the star of the show for the Bavarians, as they toyed with Edin Terzic’s side for 90 minutes and claimed a comprehensive 4-0 win.
Borussia Dortmund were once again second-best in all departments against Bayern Munich. While the Black and Yellows huffed and puffed for 90 minutes, they simply did not stand a chance at stopping their imperious title rivals.
It was BVB’s latest debacle against a Bayern side that has had the measure of them time and time again over the years. And it once again showed the gulf in quality between the two teams.
Here are our player ratings from Borussia Dortmund’s 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Gregor Kobel (6/10)
Had it not been for some of Kobel’s outstanding saves, the score-line would have looked a lot uglier from a BVB perspective. The only blemish was that maybe he could have come out to collect the ball before Upamecano headed home the opening goal from a corner.
