Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich
By Tushar Bahl
Marius Wolf (3/10)
Wolf looked timid in defence and was easily beaten by Leroy Sané time and time again. He didn’t seem to know what to do when he got into the final third either, and was replaced at half-time by Niklas Süle.
Mats Hummels (3/10)
Hummels’ lack of pace caught up with him, as the Bayern front four left him feeling overwhelmed. The veteran defender especially struggled in the second-half, with Bayern getting past him at will on occasions. He did show great determination to win possession back in good positions on three occasions, but nothing came of those ball wins.
Nico Schlotterbeck (3/10)
Schlotterbeck was beaten far too easily by Upamecano before Bayern’s opening goal, and things did not get any better for him. The in-form defender looked erratic and was a step too late far too often. Harry Kane was able to see off Schlotterbeck’s challenge rather comfortably en route to his hat-trick.
Julian Ryerson (4/10)
Ryerson showed some fight defensively, but still struggled to keep the Bayern forwards quiet. He tried to push forward whenever he got the chance, without ever looking like causing any real problems to Thomas Tuchel’s side.
