Do Borussia Dortmund have a fear of facing Bayern?

The fact that Borussia Dortmund manage to drop the ball when facing Bayern Munich pretty much on an annual basis is very concerning to say the least. The so called Der Klassiker has ended with a BVB defeat on 10 of the last 11 occasions.

The Black and Yellows seemed to be overwhelmed on Saturday as well, lacking the fight or desire to come from behind after conceding two goals in the first ten minutes. While 81,000 fans backed the team in those difficult situations, the BVB players didn’t manage to ruffle any feathers as Bayern cruised to a comfortable win.

There is no question that Borussia Dortmund are light years behind in terms of Bayern Munich in terms of the overall quality of the squad. But unless they start believing that they can actually beat the Bavarians, the whole thing becomes pointless as they will never have a chance of winning this fixture and the annual humiliation will continue for years to come.
