Borussia Dortmund player ratings from 2-0 win over Newcastle United
By Tushar Bahl
Salih Özcan (7/10)
Trusted to play in the number six role again, Özcan put in a much-improved performance and helped break things up for his side in an efficient manner. He also looked comfortable on the ball and started a number of dangerous attacks for his side.
Felix Nmecha (6/10)
While he did not get on the score-sheet this time, Nmecha still managed to quietly have a decent game. He wasn’t involved as much as he would have liked, and that somewhat affected his game after the break.
Marcel Sabitzer (7/10)
Sabitzer did really well to set up the opening goal for Füllkrug. He made a number of dangerous forward runs in the first-half, something that had been desperately missing from his game in the opening weeks of the season. The Austrian international also showed that he isn’t afraid to get combative in midfield.
