Julian Nagelsmann has called up five Borussia Dortmund players to the Germany squad for their upcoming friendly matches against Turkey and Austria.

Germany will continue their preparations for next summer’s European Championship with friendly matches against Turkey and Austria during this month’s international break. Julian Nagelsmann has now announced his squad, and five Borussia Dortmund players have made the cut.

Mats Hummels has retained his place in the Germany squad after making his first national team appearance in more than two years last month.

Niclas Füllkrug, Niklas Süle and the in-form Julian Brandt have also been called up. And Felix Nmecha is also back in the Germany squad after hitting his stride at Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks.

However, there was no place in the squad once again for Nico Schlotterbeck despite his fine run of form. Karim Adeyemi, Marco Reus, Youssoufa Moukoko and Marius Wolf have also been left out. Moukoko has been named in the Germany U-21s squad.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich both have five representatives in the latest Germany squad, with four Bayer Leverkusen players also included.

Nagelsmann has also handed out a maiden Germany call-up to former Borussia Dortmund forward Marvin Ducksch. The 29 year old has four goals and four assists to his name in ten Bundesliga appearances for Werder Bremen this season.
