Niklas Süle (3/10)

Süle started the game at right-back and had a very tough time against the lively Chris Führich. He was often sluggish and too slow to react, much like the majority of his teammates.

Mats Hummels (3/10)

Hummels had all sorts of trouble in the first-half against the fast-paced Stuttgart forwards. In the end, back problems got the better of him and he was forced off in the first-half.

Nico Schlotterbeck (3/10)

Schlotterbeck also had a game to forget in defence, and often ended up making the wrong decision. His poor sense of positioning left big gaps in the box that Stuttgart were able to exploit time and time again.

Julian Ryerson (5/10)

Arguably Borussia Dortmund’s best outfield player, Ryerson set up the opening goal for Füllkrug with a dangerous low cross into the box. He struggled defensively, much like the rest of his teammates. But he still showed that he was up for the fight.
