Salih Özcan (3/10)

Özcan definitely didn’t look like he was in control in midfield, as Stuttgart were able to overwhelm him time and time again. He failed to properly support the defence and was also a non-factor in attack.

Felix Nmecha (3/10)

Nmecha failed to make any impact against the well-drilled Stuttgart. His lack of tracking back was very frustrating as Stuttgart were able to often enjoy the extra man advantage in midfield. And he was also very wasteful in the final third.

Marcel Sabitzer (4/10)

Sabitzer hit the post in the second-half and also played a not-so-small part in BVB’s goal. But he had a difficult game other than that, and often left Özcan alone to fend off Stuttgart’s counter-attacks.
