Ramy Bensebaini (4/10)
Bensebaini came on to replace the injured Hummels and was beaten far too easily in the build-up to Stuttgart’s equaliser. He put in a slightly improved performance in the second-half, but still had a few lapses against the dangerous Enzo Millot.
Marco Reus (6/10)
Reus sparked Borussia Dortmund’s best spell of the game after coming on at half-time. The former club captain had some nice give-and-gos with his teammates and tried to make things happen. But Stuttgart ultimately wrestled back control of the game.
Donyell Malen (4/10)
Malen’s poor run of form continued and he failed to offer any dangerous impulses in attack after coming on at half-time.
Gio Reyna (5/10)
Like Reus, Reyna offered more intensity to the BVB midfield after replacing Nmecha. Although not everything he tried seemed to come off.
