Gio Reyna was on the scoresheet for the United States on Thursday as they claimed a 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Nations League.

Two Borussia Dortmund players were in action for their respective national teams on Thursday. Gio Reyna kept his place in the USMNT starting XI as they went up against Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals. The defending champions claimed a hard-fought 3-0 win to take control of the two-legged tie, with Reyna on the scoresheet.

It took 81 minutes for the United States to find the breakthrough. But Ricardo Pepi’s strike opened the floodgates as Antonee Robinson then made it 2-0 soon after, before Gio Reyna added a third with a strong first-time finish in the 89th minute.

Reyna delivered another lively performance in the number ten role for the USMNT. The 21 year old has now scored three goals in his last two appearances for Gregg Berhalter’s side.

Marcel Sabitzer was also in action on Thursday as he helped Austria claim a 2-0 win over Estonia. Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer opened the scoring for Austria, before SC Freiburg defender Philipp Lienhart added a second in the 40th minute. Sabitzer was taken off in the 89th minute for Austria, who have already qualified for Euro 2024.
