Borussia Dortmund are looking to sign a right back that can have have an instant impact for the second half of the season.

With the winter transfer window inching closer and closer, Borussia Dortmund seem to be considering their squad building needs and assessing whether or not to dip into said market to ensure sporting success. One position of interest seems to, thankfully, be at right back, where the club currently lacks a nailed on starter.

The club have fielded quite a few players over the last couple years in this position, none of which have truly lived up to the brilliance of Dortmund legend Łukasz Piszczek; the last nailed on right back that the club has possessed. Despite Ryerson’s emergence as a quality player, a right back that can have an “instant impact” is a welcome thought for Dortmund to explore. Ever since the close of the summer transfer window, it has been clear that full back is a position that the club are inherently thin on.

Because the club are now finally looking to rectify this issue, it would seem imperative to put some candidates forward as possible solutions for their right back conundrum. Let’s take a look at three players that could perhaps fit the bill for Die Schwarzgelben:
