Karim Adeyemi was apparently told by the Borussia Dortmund bosses that they are not happy with his performances so far this season.

Things have certainly not gone according to plan on the pitch for Karim Adeyemi so far this season, with the forward yet to find the back of the net in 13 appearances for the club. According to BILD, Edin Terzic and Sebastian Kehl made it clear to the 21 year old that they are not at all happy with his performances during a meeting last week.

Adeyemi, who has lost his spot in the Germany senior squad, turned down a call-up to the U-21s team earlier this month in order to train at Borussia Dortmund during the international break and stake a claim for more playing time.

The decision was heavily criticised by DFB president Bernd Neuendorf. And BVB CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke also told BILD that he fully agrees with Neuendorf’s criticism of the forward.

Having won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year award for his impressive performances last season, Karim Adeyemi has not been able to make a similar impact for Borussia Dortmund since the start of this season. Although he did show glimpses of his quality by setting up crucial goals against Eintracht Frankfurt and Newcastle United recently.

The coming months will be crucial for Adeyemi as he looks to find his form at the club level in the coming months, and also force his way into Julian Nagelsmann’s plans ahead of the European Championship on home soil next summer.
