Defence: Niklas Süle, Mats Hummels, Nico Schlotterbeck, Julian Ryerson
Mats Hummels and Nico Schlotterbeck have been the go-to centre-backs for Edin Terzic so far this season. And chances are that they could start together once again on Saturday.
Doubts remain over which players will get the nod to start in the full-back positions. Marius Wolf has failed to impress at right-back, while Ramy Bensebaini has been inconsistent on the left side.
It is possible that Terzic will give Niklas Süle another opportunity at right-back. Even though there will be a compromise on the attacking output, Süle will hopefully offer the team some defensive assurance.
Julian Ryerson will keep his place in the team, fresh off his two assists for Norway. The versatile full-back will likely start on the left, unless Bensebaini earns a recall to the side.
