What awaits BVB for the next few matches?

Borussia Dortmund has six games remaining in their schedule. Those games consist of away matches to Bayern, Hoffenheim, and Bayer Leverkusen. The home matches will be easier, as they are against Mönchengladbach, Wolfsburg, and finally Holstein Kiel on matchday 34. Without Nico Schlotterbeck, will BVB be able to win the points needed for a top-four finish?

When using the expected points on the previous table, Dortmund needs to be almost perfect down the stretch, as 15 points of a possible 18 might be enough for the squad to get Champions League next year. At the same time, 12 or 13 points give Dortmund a good chance of playing on Thursdays next year. For context, Kovač has earned 1.8 points per game in all competitions, which would put the team on pace for 11 points in the final six games.

Surprisingly, a finish in the top four is still possible for this squad after consecutive losses to Augsburg and RB Leipzig. The following two matches against top six teams resulted in promising wins for BVB, which will hopefully spur the team on for at least a 5th place finish.
