Borussia Dortmund are keeping their tabs on Johan Bakayoko from PSV

The young Belgian player could be a potential transfer target for the Black-and-Yellows in the summer. BVB is closely monitoring his situation in light of a possible big sale at the end of the season.

According to reports from Belgium, Borussia Dortmund is carefully watching PSV's right winger Johan Bakayoko in the transfer market. The Black-and-Yellows seem to be inclined to sign the Belgium talent following Donyell Malen's departure earlier this winter.

However, a possible deal would only be in discussion over the summer once Jamie Gittens's situation is uncertain at the club. The English youngster has been a breath of fresh air for Dortmund in a roller-coaster season, which could force Dortmund's hand in terms of transfer business for next season.

If BVB fails to secure a spot in European competitions — currently ranked 10th in the league and seven points away from Champions League football — the board might need to make a big sale in the summer.

As journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported, Bakayoko's next Champions League performance could be key to his future. Another talented player, Dortmund, is closely watching, but it will likely not be an easy or cheap signing.
