Borussia Dortmund eyeing move for 'Serbian Messi' Andrija Maksimovic

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in signing Andrija Maksimovic, who has been dubbed as the Serbian Lionel Messi.
Andrija Maksimovic has been making plenty of waves for Red Star Belgrade, and his performances have seemingly caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund. According to Sky Sport, the Black and Yellows are interested in signing the 17 year old who recently made his debut for the Serbia national team.
Regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Serbia, Maksimovic is an attacking midfielder who can also play out wide. He made his Champions League debut against Inter Milan earlier this month, and several top clubs are said to be interested in signing him.
Could Borussia Dortmund sign the 'Serbian Messi'?
Borussia Dortmund could face competition from the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Juventus for the signature of Maksimovic, who is apparently thinking about the next step in his career. His signature is expected to cost around 15 million euros.
The report from Sky Sport adds that Borussia Dortmund have already enquired about the costs of a potential deal, and have also held initial talks with Red Star Belgrade.
Borussia Dortmund already have a number of talented young players in their attacking ranks, including the likes of Jamie Gittens, Karim Adeyemi, and Julien Duranville. And the BVB bosses have stated in recent months that they want to get back to signing the most exciting young talents in the world.
Andrija Maksimovic will hope to continue to showcase his potential at Red Star Belgrade in the coming months. And with several big clubs following his development, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him.
