The Danish Midfielder, Victor Froholdt, has reportedly become a transfer target for Borussia Dortmund as they look to rebuild their midfield this summer, according to Sky journalist, Florian Plettenberg. Froholdt currently plays a key role in Copenhagen’s squad. He’s one of several players Dortmund is set to pursue in this summer's transfer window.

Victor Froholdt is just nineteen years old, has represented Denmark’s National team’s in the U16, U17, U18, U19, and even has one cap for the senior squad. Perhaps one of his most promising characteristics is his fitness. While it could be argued the Danish Super Liga isn’t the most physical, Froholdt has still managed to make 50 appearances this season between the Super Liga, the UEFA Conference League, the UEFA Conference League qualifiers, the Super Liga Championship Round, and the Oddset Pokal. He’s played more than 3,200 minutes this season, an impressive feat for any player.

Copenhagen manager, Jacob Neestrup primarily uses Victor Froholdt as a central midfielder, but he can also play on either wing as a versatile midfielder. Niko Kovač could use a player with his profile to develop as a future starter. He wouldn’t be the first player to develop with Dortmund’s senior squad at a young age. Transfermarkt also puts the player’s transfer value around 2-million euros, which could make him a low-risk bargain.

Victor Froholdt joins a long list of young players Borussia Dortmund is linked with, including Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham, Palmeiras’s Luighi, Tottenham’s Mikey Moore, and Rosario’s Juan Giminez.
