Serhou Guirassy continued his remarkable start to the season on Saturday, while Germany cruised to a 7-0 victory over Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Having registered 14 goals and four assists in his first 15 appearances for club and country this season, Serhou Guirassy came up with the decisive goal for Guinea again on Saturday as they claimed a 1-0 win over DR Congo.

A 92nd minute winner from the Borussia Dortmund striker boosted Guinea’s hopes of qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The win puts Guinea in second place in their qualifying group, and a draw against third placed Tanzania on Tuesday would be enough to secure their place in the 2025 AFCON.

Germany hit seven past Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue excellent run

Germany were also in action on Saturday evening, with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Pascal Groß starting against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Julian Nagelsmann’s side continued their stunning run of form to claim a 7-0 win over a hapless Bosnia side in Freiburg. Florian Wirtz and Tim Kleindienst both scored two goals each for Germany, while Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, and Leroy Sané were also on target.

Groß was on the pitch for the entire game and put in a strong shift in midfield. Felix Nmecha came on in the second-half for his first appearance for Germany in 12 months. Julian Brandt was an unused sub, while Nico Schlotterbeck missed the game through suspension.

The win means that Germany have secured their place in the knockout stage of the UEFA Nations League as winners of their group. They will now play one of the runners-up in the quarterfinals.

The Netherlands are also through to the Nations League quarterfinals after an impressive 4-0 win over Hungary. Donyell Malen played from the start for Ronald Koeman’s side and helped set up Denzel Dumfries for his goal before going off in the 84th minute.
