Borussia Dortmund clinched the third win of their UEFA Champions League campaign, beating Sturm Graz 1-0. Following a disappointing 5-2 defeat against Real Madrid, the Black and Yellows came back to their winning habits, beating Sturm Graz thanks to a late winner from Donyell Malen.

Despite the three points, BVB did not have an easy time facing the Austrian side, struggling to break the opponent's lines as the team’s main creative assets did not have the best of evenings. An uninspired performance overall, which also reflects the team's exhaustion due to the demanding schedule and injury issues of the past couple of weeks. With nine injuries in the squad, it's the third game in a row that Sahin used essentially the same starting XI.

As the game seemed to be leading to an underwhelming draw at home, Dortmund were saved by the super-sub Donyell Malen. The goal originated from a mistake caused by the BVB press, allowing Serhou Guirassy to deliver a beautiful assist to the Dutchman to close the match in the 85th minute.

Borussia Dortmund now have nine points in four matches, and will next be in Champions League action against Dinamo Zagreb. For now, here are the player ratings for the BVB players from their 1-0 win over Sturm Graz.

Alexander Meyer (6/10) - As Sturm Graz did not create many chances, Meyer did not have to make many key interventions in goal. On the other hand, his skills on the ball once more proved to be a great asset in the build-up structure, making Dortmund look very safe in possession.
