Felix Nmecha (7/10) - Felix Nmecha continues to be very solid in distributing the ball around the pitch. His press resistance and passing skills were essential for Dortmund to keep control of the match and refrain Sturm Graz from getting momentum.

Marcel Sabitzer (5/10) - Sabitzer once again had a tough night as he played through injury. The Austrian midfielder is still trying to adapt to Sahin's system, and he did not have a great offensive influence, which is arguably his best asset. He also covered as a right winger at times, while Beier had the liberty to move around, but did not have a significant role there either.

Julian Brandt (5/10) - The new BVB number 10 seemed distant from the match once again. Since the start of the season, Brandt has been struggling to replicate the same form from last season. Despite a few sparks here and there, his lack of engaging moments in this match was one of the main reasons why Dortmund did not create many clear chances.
