Borussia Dortmund player ratings from their 3-2 loss to Barcelona

Gregor Kobel (6/10) - Dortmund Swiss's wall had some key saves but could not stop Barcelona's striking power, which has an average of 2.94 goals scored per game this campaign. However, he was not the one to blame for the goals. Even though he gave away the rebound on Barça's second goal, the amount of space the Barcelona forwards had only made things more difficult for BVB's keeper.

Julian Ryerson (5/10) - A decent defensive performance from the Norwegian right-back, but at the same time, he looked erratic in possession, which made him overcomplicate some plays and lose the ball a few times. He did not contribute a lot offensively and left the match at half-time after a possible injury in the first-half.

Emre Can (6/10) - A solid display from the Borussia Dortmund captain. Despite not being a centre-back on paper, Emre Can did his best to stop the likes of Lewandowski and Raphinha.

Nico Schlotterbeck (8/10) - Best player on the pitch. His effectiveness in short and long-range passes, summed up with some perfectly-timed tackles in the second-half, illustrates his brilliant performance. Unfortunately, he picked up an injury at the very end, which could be awful news for the team.

Ramy Bensebaini (6/10) - Another secure performance from the Algerian, who had arguably the most challenging job in this game: to man-mark Lamine Yamal. Despite some spaces left close to the box, the Spanish prodigy could not circulate much close to Kobel's goal.
