Gregor Kobel (6/10) – Kobel made a pair of very important saves, helping prevent Bremen from running away with the momentum. He continued to look unconfident on the ball however and sent too many long balls astray.
Julian Ryerson (7/10) – This rating might seem high, but Julian Ryerson was instrumental in creating Dortmund’s first goal. In addition, he played with tenacity throughout the entire match and was BVB’s only player who was playing with urgency in the last ten minutes.
Emre Can (6/10) – If the first half is the only thing to go by, Emre Can displayed one of his best performances of the campaign. His second half left much to be desired, but he showed he can still perform.
Nico Schlotterbeck (2/10) – Schlotterbeck’s red card came from a poor, split-second decision. In a breakaway, Nico was never going to catch up, and any slight contact would be called to the attacking player’s benefit. Leaving Dortmund down a man so early is letting the team down in a big way. His subsequent suspension will hurt even more.
Ramy Bensebaini (5/10) – Bensebaini did a decent job filling into the central defense after Nico Schlotterbeck’s sending-off. Still, the Algerian is clearly more comfortable as a left-back or wing-back.
