Pascal Groß (5/10) – Groß did not have his best game, but most of his struggle came from playing either in the central defense or as a wing-back. He should have been moved into the double-pivot sooner, the way he was used after Anton came in.
Julian Brandt (7/10) – This was still far from Brandt’s best, but there were good signs. Yes, he sent a few passes astray, but he was heavily involved in the attacking build-up and assisted the opening goal.
