Borussia Dortmund player ratings from a disappointing 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen

BVB was reduced to 10 men early in the match but managed to take a two-goal lead before collapsing to a draw in predictable fashion against Werder Bremen.

Marcel Sabitzer (4/10) – Substituting in early for the injured Felix Nmecha, Sabitzer was forced into a more defensive role than he’s typically suited for. While Leonardo Bittencourt deserves credit for Werder’s first goal, Sabitzer was right beside him and should have been ready to make a block, or prevent that shot from ever being made.

Maxi Beier (5/10) – Beier produced one on-target shot out of the air, which Michael Zetterer saved. Other than that, he made little impact.

Julian Duranville (3/10) – Duranville never managed to integrate himself into this system, only managing seven touches in his 29+ minutes on the field.

Waldemar Anton (N/A) – Anton was needed to shore up defenses and ensure this match didn’t become a loss.
