Gregor Kober (7/10) – Kobel might have had a flub against Shakhtar, but he was back to his reliable self today, making four big saves and preventing a Heidenheim equalizer. Kobel was beaten once at his near post and will have to wait a bit longer for a much-needed clean sheet
Julian Ryerson (8/10) – Ryerson is one of the hardest-working players every time he’s on the pitch. His tenacity contributed to both attacking and defensive plays. He created more chances than any other player in this match.
Emre Can (7/10) – Emre Can had a quiet game by his standards, but that can be a good thing. He filled in the central defense well in Schlotterbeck’s absence and won every attempted ground dual.
Waldemar Anton (8/10) – It was a welcome return to the starting XI for Waldemar Anton, who put in an impressive shift. He produced four accurate long balls, completed four dribbles, and managed an assist. And he defended pretty well!
Ramy Bensebaini (8/10) – Bensebaini was clinical in defense this game, making numerous key tackles to prevent Heidenheim's chances. His pass to assist Beier’s winner was also crucial to securing victory. The Algerian seems to be finding form post-Sahin.
