Julian Brandt (6/10)

Brandt set up a couple of really good opportunities for Guirassy, but was also left frustrated by his failure to find the back of the net. Chance after chance fell to Brandt, but he either failed to hit the target or was denied by the St. Pauli goalkeeper.

Donyell Malen (4/10)

Malen failed to make the desired impact on his return to the starting XI. The Dutchman missed a golden opportunity from close range in the second-half. Other than that, he struggled to get involved in the game.

Serhou Guirassy (7/10)

Guirassy missed a couple of opportunities but came up clutch when Borussia Dortmund needed him the most. The striker is in excellent form at the moment and BVB will hope that he can keep that run going in the coming weeks.

Jamie Gittens (7/10)

Gittens delivered another strong performance off the bench, with his pace and directness from the left wing causing a lot of problems to the St. Pauli defenders. He delivered a number of dangerous crosses into the box and also set up the winning goal.
