TST or The Soccer Tournament is a World Cup style 7 vs 7 tournament with unique rules, which takes place in Cary, North Carolina, USA from June 4-9. Coaches
Dru Wright, Head Coach: Wright is a veteran of TST, having attended both prior iterations. He’s the Director of Soccer Development and College Program Director for BVB International Academy America. He’s also an alumni of Wake Forest.
Sheamus, Assistant Head Coach: Stephen Farrelly, better known by his WWE ring name, Sheamus, is the first Irish World Champion in WWE history. He’s a winner of many WWE accolades, and has recently been seen attending Borussia Dortmund matches.
Notable Squad Members
Felipe Santana- Santana will lead the squad as a player who frequents the Borussia Dortmund ‘Legends’ team. The Brazilian had a prolific playing career, which included a stint at BVB from 2008-2013 where he won the Bundesliga twice and the German Cup once.
Mike Lahoud- Lahoud is another TST veteran for BVB. He’s a retired Sierra Leonean footballer, and now a broadcaster for CBS Sports Golazo Network. His playing career included time at Philadelphia Union, Miami FC, FC Cincinnati, San Antonio FC, in addition to the Sierra Leone National Team.
Tavoy Morgan- Morgan is professional soccer player in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), currently playing as a forward for the San Diego Sockers. His nickname is “Bull.”
Chris Vandegriffe- Chris is another Major Arena Soccer League player, but unlike Tavoy Morgan, Vandegriffe plays defense. He currently plays for the Kansas City Comets.
