According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund is considering giving Jobe Bellingham leading player duties, which will be immediately effective if his signing is complete. The Englishman is rumored to play a central role in the squad's hierarchy in the imminent future.

Jobe Bellingham's decision about a transfer shouldn't take long, while the Black and Yellows are prepared to pay up around 30 million euros. Jobe Bellingham could even make his decision as early as this week, with Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, and English clubs also in the race.

Borussia Dortmund are certainly making every effort to sign Jobe Bellingham as their pre-established priority target in this summer's transfer window. Despite Bellingham's undeniable potential and experience in the Championship with Sunderland over the past two years, maybe giving him that much responsibility this early might not be the best strategy.

After all, Jobe is just soon to be 20 years old, despite playing almost 4000 minutes this season for Sunderland in 43 games. Numbers that showcase how important he was for his team, though he is still to gain experience in the first division of the top 5 league in Europe, which might require him some adaptation time.

Indeed, Jude did not have much experience in the first division either, but he didn't need to. He had time to slowly develop and become the prodigy player he is today, while his brother will potentially arrive with the label of priority target and problem-solver. While BVB scouts most likely did their homework with Jobe, it could be risky to pay 30 million on a 19-year-old to be an immediate solution for BVB's midfield gaps. Hopefully, if this deal materializes, it won't backfire.
