In 2015, Jürgen Klopp departed Borussia Dortmund after a long tenure in charge. His reign was marked by success, silverware, and charisma. Everybody loved Jürgen Klopp, and he was the face of Borussia Dortmund. His artificial hair and teeth became synonymous with the Schwarzgelben. In his absence, however, there was a period of longing, wishing the next Jürgen Klopp would be served up on a silver platter. For a time, Hans-Joachim Watzke, his board, and many fans, myself included, thought this was precisely what was happening. The signs were there, or at least I chose to believe them.
