Borussia Dortmund will need to sweat if they wish to guarantee the landing of Jobe Bellingham in the Signal Iduna Park. According to Bild, the Black and Yellows will likely face competition from two other Bundesliga clubs: Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig.

With Dortmund and Frankfurt both competing directly for a spot in the next Champions League edition, aside from Freiburg, and, should both clubs qualify for the UCL, BVB will have an advantage compared to the Eagles, as the Club World Cup could become an added incentive to bring Jobe to his brother's old club.

RB Leipzig becomes an outsider in this race, as the Bulls do not have any chance of reaching the UCL football by the end of the Bundesliga's Matchday 34 tomorrow. With Dortmund and Frankfurt being the favorites to sign the young British talent, a final decision might need to be postponed.

Jobe Bellingham allegedly will not make any decisions on his future until after Sunderland's, his current club's, May 24 game against Sheffield United at Wembley. The playoff match decides if the Black Cats will finally return to the Premier League after a long wait in second-tier English football, since they were relegated in the 2016-17 season.

Independent of the outcome of the playoff matchup, it seems clear that the younger brother Bellingham will make the next step in his career next season, and the only question remaining is where he will go. Dortmund has good odds of landing Jobe once his brother's word and likely Champions League might be enough to convince him. However, Frankfurt cannot be discarded from that race, as things will become cleaner after the end of the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season.
