Niclas Füllkrug has endured a difficult start to life at West Ham United, with reports claiming that the English Premier League side is already thinking about replacing him.

In a move that came as a bit of a surprise, Niclas Füllkrug left Borussia Dortmund to join West Ham United in the summer transfer window. The 31 year old signed a four year contract with the Hammers, but has not been able to make the desired impact in the English Premier League so far.

Niclas Füllkrug is currently out with an injury

Füllkrug is currently sidelined with an Achilles tendon issue that he sustained while on international duty in September. And reports about his future being up in the air are already starting to emerge.

Despite the claims, Sky Sport are reporting that Füllkrug is not looking to leave West Ham United and is determined to make his mark in the English Premier League. The report adds that the striker is working hard on his comeback and could return to action after next month’s international break.

Füllkrug has made a total of four appearances so far for West Ham United and has yet to find the back of the net.

West Ham United have endured a difficult start to the season after making a big splash in the transfer market. The future of manager Julen Lopetegui is also said to be uncertain as a result.

One of the names being linked with the West Ham job is former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzic. If results don’t improve quickly, there is a good chance that by the time Füllkrug returns, West Ham could have a new coach in the dugout.
