The Jobe Bellingham transfer rumors are ripe and in constant flux, with new information coming to light every day it seems. Jobe has long been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund, the same club his brother, Jude, rose to prominence before transferring to Real Madrid two years ago. In that time, BVB has maintained close contact with the Bellingham family, and following this season’s conclusion, the Black and Yellows set Jobe Bellingham as their number one transfer target.

The deal seemed perfect on paper, since Jobe and his family know exactly what BVB can offer, and they’re familiar with the Signal Iduna Park, the BVB fan base, and the club facilities. One of the biggest hesitations that seems to be coming from the player’s camp however, is that Jobe does not want to follow in his brother’s footsteps, but rather forge his own path in the footballing world.

BVB’s pursuit was made more difficult this week, a Jobe and his family traveled to Frankfurt to tour the city, the club facilities, and meet the team. Frankfurt are said to be rather confident in the prospect of landing the young Englishman’s signature. Both Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund can offer Champions League football next season, and both clubs seem willing to pay the 30-million-euro fee Bellingham would require.

Today, the Guardian is reporting that Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, the majority owner of Sunderland, has now affirmed his desire to keep Jobe at Sunderland next season since he’s viewed as key player in the now English Premier League team. The transfer saga could grow more complicated if Sunderland does not sanction the sale, or tries to push it into a bidding war since Jobe’s former club, Birmingham City, will be owed a sizeable fee should he transfer.

Jobe is expected to make a decision on his future by the end of the week, when he'll travel to Ibiza to join his brother on holiday.
