Borussia Dortmund will look to put an end to their away day woes on Saturday afternoon as they take on FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga.

After suffering a heavy defeat to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund will hope to return to winning ways this weekend as they take on FC Augsburg. But in order to do that, they will need to end their woeful run of form away from home.

The Black and Yellows have failed to win any of their last five matches in the Bundesliga, losing four of those. Nuri Sahin will have his task cut out as he looks to sort out his side's away day woes.

Standing in Borussia Dortmund's way on Saturday will be FC Augsburg, who have endured a difficult start to the season and find themselves in 15th place in the standings. The Bavarians have won just two of their opening seven matches, and were handed a 3-1 defeat by SC Freiburg last weekend.

Leading the way for Augsburg on Saturday will be Phillip Tietz, who has three goals and two assists to his name this season. Former Borussia Dortmund full-back Marius Wolf will also hope to play from the start for Jess Thorup's side.

Augsburg have a fair few injury concerns ahead of the game, with Ruben Vargas, Robert Gumny, Reece Oxford, and Fredrik Jensen among those sidelined with injuries. Nico Schlotterbeck's brother Keven is also an injury doubt ahead of the game.

BVB showed glimpses of their quality in the defeat to Real Madrid, with Donyell Malen, Jamie Gittens, and Felix Nmecha all impressing in the first-half. The trio could start again on Saturday.

Karim Adeyemi, Julien Duranville, Gio Reyna, Yan Couto remain sidelined for Borussia Dortmund. Niklas Süle has also been ruled out due to an ankle injury sustained in Madrid. While Julian Ryerson is a doubt.
