BVB fans have woken up with some good and bad news about the squad's depth for the first matchup against Sporting for the Champions League knocking-round playoffs. Ramy Bensebaini, who has been developing well as an inverted fullback in the past few weeks, will be a guaranteed absence due to a muscle strain and will not even travel to Lisbon with the group.

Another likely absence will be Filippo Mane, who has picked up a thigh injury against Osnabrück for the U23s. On the other hand, Carney Chukwuemeka will be available for selection after missing the weekend matchup against Stuttgart with knee problems in training. The young Englishman could make his debut in Black and Yellow this Tuesday.
