According to the Italian newspaper, Football Italia, Juventus has increased their interest in Karim Adeyemi and will try to lure the player away from the Signal Iduna Park this summer. It’s unclear whether Borussia Dortmund would entertain offers for the German International, but several factors could play a role in Adeyemi’s decision.

Juventus is said to be hoping the prospect of Champions League football would be enough for Adeyemi, but Borussia Dortmund’s recent form suggests that Adeyemi might not have to leave BVB to achieve UCL football. On the contrary, Juventus is struggling to hold onto fourth place in Serie A, as should they drop more points in either of their final two games, they could be the team missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

In the winter, it was Napoli who approached Karim Adeyemi. Still, the player reaffirmed his commitment to Borussia Dortmund at the time, and he’s been a key member of Niko Kovač’s squad. The question has to be asked: Does Karim want to leave the Black and Yellows?

Even if Borussia Dortmund are to miss out on the Champions League, Niko Kovač will likely do all he can to retain Adeyemi’s talents next season. Karim Adeyemi has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, recording over 2,100 minutes. He’s scored 12 and assisted nine, with his most recent goal contributions coming last weekend as he scored one and assisted another.

I think it would be a mistake to entertain offers for Adeyemi at this time. When he’s focused, the German is an integral part of this squad. Even with a large windfall of cash, Adeyemi’s profile would be difficult to replace.
