The Black and Yellows travel to Munich this Saturday in the first Der Klassiker of the 25/26 season. Both clubs are currently undefeated this season, but Bayern currently has an absolutely perfect record of six wins in six games in the Bundesliga, and is also two for two in the Champions League so far.
The first meeting between these clubs is always an important one, but even more so this season, as both clubs will be looking to end the undefeated streak of the other. Bayern are currently coming off a comfortable three-nil win against Frankfurt, in which Luis Diaz scored a brace and registered an assist, while Harry Kane continued his fine form, making it eleven goals in just six matches.
Borussia Dortmund are coming off a tense 1- 1 draw against Leipzig. BVB seemed to lack that killer instinct against Leipzig, and will be looking at the likes of Guirassy and Adeyemi to be significant threats to the Bayern Munich Defense. The Black and Yellows will want to continue their fine defensive form against the in-form Bayern Munich attack, but knowing they are undefeated in the last three meetings against Bayern will surely give confidence to the Dortmund locker room. Below are some match predictions:

Felix Nmecha and Serhou Guirassy: Felix Nmecha has been one of the best players for Dortmund this season, and the best midfielder for the club this season, and it isn't even an argument. Kovac will be looking to Nmecha to try to control the tempo for Borussia Dortmund and win the big duels in the midfield against Bayern. Guirassy will be the man all Borussia Dortmund fans will be looking to create another historical win in the Der Klassiker, a player who has truly shown his quality and has been a game-changer when needed. Scoring four in his last five Bundesliga games, he will be looking to further that tally and make his mark in another vital game for the Black and Yellows.
Harry Kane and Luis Diaz: Harry Kane is widely regarded as one of the best strikers from the Premier League, and is undoubtedly one of the best strikers to play in the Bundesliga. Scoring eleven in his last six Bundesliga games, he is the man Dortmund will have been working on shutting down on all sides of the ball. Luis Diaz has had a terrific start to life at Bayern, scoring five in his last six games and registering four assists. He will be looking to wreak havoc on the right side of the Dortmund defense and continue to show the quality he has.

This will certainly be a game of pure fireworks, but a difficult game to call. Historically, there have been some landslide losses against Bayern in Munich, but as of recent head-to-head form, in this classic, Borussia Dortmund has the upper hand. BVB will need to be laser-focused defensively against a Bayern Munich attack, which just oozes quality. The lineup that Niko Kovac decides to go with will need to be near perfect against a Bayern side that looks unbeatable at the moment. Normally, when you say "Knowing Dortmund," you expect a pessimistic view, but for some fans, it could be the complete opposite, since Kovac was given the wheel. Borussia Dortmund looks like a team reborn at times, but to win this game, they will need to be the team that fans know they are capable of being. I predict a very narrow 1-2 upset for the Black and Yellows in Munich.
