Borussia Dortmund has confirmed that Mike Tullberg will remain in charge of the senior squad through Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with FC Heidenheim. Tullberg was appointed as Interim manager after Nuri Sahin's sacking last week. This will be his third match in charge.
Tullberg opened his interim tenure with a 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen, a disappointing result, yet Borussia Dortmund’s best of 2025 thus far. He will be on the sidelines against Shakthar Donetsk in today’s Champion’s League clash in addition to Saturday’s Bundesliga match away in Heidenheim.
Niko Kovac and Ralph Rangnick remain the hottest candidates to take over until the end of the season, but negotiations seem to be delaying, and more exciting managerial prospects, like Sebastian Hoeneß may be available this summer.
