Nuri Sahin believes that Borussia Dortmund are making good progress and are headed in the right direction after their 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich.
Borussia Dortmund continued their impressive run of form on Saturday evening by delivering a strong performance against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. The Black and Yellows held their own and came ever so close to getting the three points.
But in the end, Jamal Musiala's late header cancelled out Jamie Gittens' first-half opener and ensured a share of the spoils for the two sides.

After the game, Nuri Sahin was asked whether he felt Borussia Dortmund's performance against Bayern felt like another step in the right direction to him. And the BVB head coach said that he feels his team is on the right track after a difficult start to the season.
“We are growing. We are getting better and better and I said this to my guys already, I’m proud of them. We suffered in the last months with the injuries, the results. But I always kept calm and I knew that we will get into the right direction. This [game against Bayern] showed me again that we can compete with the best. With a little bit of luck, we could have won [against Bayern]," Sahin told ESPN+.
While Borussia Dortmund remain ten points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich in the standings, they are only a point shy of fourth placed RB Leipzig. BVB are also well placed in the UEFA Champions League, and will hope to keep their encouraging run going in their remaining games before the winter break.
Borussia Dortmund will hope to finally put an end to their winless run away from home in the Bundesliga next weekend when they travel to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
